Who am I?

I'm an avid traveller from Finland who likes to organize his own trips and avoid big tourist agencies. I got my first travelling experiences already when I was a small boy. My mother took me with her to all these wonderful places, Estonia, Tunisia, Greece, Portugal and Jamaica, just to mention a few.

When I grew older, I started travelling without my parents. The first big trip for me was when we Interrailed around Europe for almost a month with a good friend of mine. After that I've gone abroad for at least a month every year, and I guess I'm not stopping anytime soon. My mother has been to over 60 countries already so I've got some catching up to do!

The Interrail started my independent travelling.

During the last few years I've developed a passion for mountains, and you can check the list of peaks I've conquered so far under the "Peak list"-link. The list isn't long yet, but it'll be growing. That's a promise! In addition to travelling I enjoy many kinds of sports. I like to ski, run, swim, climb, play badminton, hike...

I don't like to travel alone that much and the perfect solution to that problem is my wonderful wife, Inna. She's the best company I could ask for when we are travelling, and we've already had some wild experiences around the world. She isn't as eager to try everything extreme as I am, but she usually follows me very bravely! She's also a lot better with people than I am so we make a good combination :).
