The mountains and peaks I've climbed
-
2022
-
Zinalrothorn
- 4221 m
- 09.08.2022
- A mountain that I have wanted to climb since my first visit to Switzerland in 2012. Ten years later we climbed up with Jiri using the north ridge, graded AD. It took us about 15h from tent to tent. Conditions were great but headache on the way down was massive.
-
Black and Tan Wall
-
Third Sella Tower
- 2696 m
- 13.08.2022
- Climbed up "Vinatzer", V+ with Markus. Started way too late as per usual and just made it to the top before dark after some serious route finding adventures near the top. Rappelled for a good while in the dark and went to sleep at 3:30am.
-
Brüggler
- 1777 m
- 06.08.2022
- Climbed up "Tante Ju", 5c+. The first pitch felt surprisingly hard and awkward for being 5c+.
-
Brüggler
- 1777 m
- 07.08.2022
- Climbed up the same mountain again. This time using route "Highway", 5b. Otherwise beautiful climbing but we faced some rain on the way up, which wasn't optimal on slabby limestone.
-
2021
-
Ober Gabelhorn
- 4063 m
- 17.08.2021
- An adventure of epic proportions, at least by my standards. 18 hours and 26 minutes from tent to tent using the ENE ridge. Some route finding problems in the first rock section after leaving the Trift Glacier.
-
Wellenkuppe
- 3903 m
- 17.08.2021
- We climbed this with Harri on the way to Ober Gabelhorn.
-
Gamíla
-
Haute Corde
- 2325 m
- 20.08.2021
- Climbed up Miroir d'Argentine using Voie Directe and then traversed the ridge to climb Haute Corde.
-

-
Finsteraarhorn
- 4274 m
- 25.06.2019
- Ultra
- We climbed the mountain with Janne in four days from Fafleralp without using lifts, trains or huts.
-
Zervreilahorn
- 2898 m
- 28.06.2019
- We climbed the northeast ridge with Janne after which I climbed the northern summit barefooted. The northern summit is lower than the real summit.
-
Rysy
- 2503 m
- 23.08.2019
- Climbed in a long day from Poland to Slovakia
-
2018
-
Olperer
- 3476 m
- 09.07.2018
- We climbed the north ridge with Harri after three days of hiking on the Peter Habeler route.
- Just under ten hour round trip from our camp near the Geraerhütte
-
Frauenwand
-
Lespezi
- 2516 m
- 04.01.2018
- Part of a winter mountaineering course in Romania
- Visibility at the top was somewhere between ten and twenty meters.
-
Vârful Muşeteica
- 2448 m
- 23.02.2018
- Winter solo
- The climb down was sketchy at best as I had intended to use a ridge leading to Cabana Capra but took a wrong ridge instead.
-
Vârful Robiţa
- 2409 m
- 23.02.2018
- Winter solo
-
Vârful Ciucaş
- 1954 m
- 04.03.2018
- The second try for this peak. This time I made it to the summit but visibility was really bad once again.
- Winter
-
Vârful Postăvaru
- 1799 m
- 10.02.2018
- I think I've never cheated this much while climbing a mountain. After taking the cable car up we had to climb perhaps ten meters to reach the top. We walked down at least!
-
2017
-
Poon Hill
- 3193 m
- 30.05.2017
- Unfortunately it was a very cloudy day and we didn't get to see any of the big peaks from the top.
-
Triglav
- 2864 m
- 04.09.2017
- Ultra
- We climbed the mountain from its northern side using the "hardest via ferrata in Slovenia". It wasn"t very well protected for being a via ferrata. The via ferrata is graded C/D and the other parts of the route are T5. In my opinion the unprotected T5-sections are a lot scarier and more challenging than the C/D via ferrata and I consider myself lucky that the route wasn't wet when we were there.
-
Kanjavec
- 2568 m
- 03.09.2017
- A bit snowy!
-
Omu
- 2505 m
- 02.04.2017
- I didn't climb the boulder at the summit.
- The highest peak of the Bucegi Mountains
-
Vârful Bucura
-
Vârful Pietrosul Rodnei
- 2303 m
- 02.08.2017
- The highest peak of the Rodnei Mountains
- I ascended to the top from the lake in 37 minutes and came back down in 22 minutes.
-
La Om
- 2238 m
- 20.08.2017
- The highest peak of the Piatra Craiului Mountains
-

-
Torre Cerredo
- 2648 m
- 04.09.2016

- An enjoyable climb in perfect weather
- Solo. No rope or other equipment needed in good weather, but would be whole another story in wet or snowy conditions.
-
Maja e Ropës
- 2502 m
- 25.09.2016
- GPS coordinates: 42.574104, 20.108412
- I'm not 100% sure that this is the mountain I climbed.
-
Pasji Vrh
-
Attavyros
- 1215 m
- 05.06.2016
- A short but mentally exhausting climb because of loose gravel without a real path anywhere.
-
2015
-
Le Toûno
-
Schwarzhorn
- 2928 m
- 20.07.2015
- Climbed the south west ridge using the via ferrata there. I didn"t use the cable car to get to First, but cycled up from Grindelwald to Spitzwald instead and continued on foot from there. A tough 8h day and 71 Francs saved by not using cable cars and finding a free parking spot ;).
-

- 06.07.2015
- Climbed together with Americans Adam and Ari on a sunny day.
-

-
Schönberg
-
Niderhorn
- 2078 m
- 21.06.2015
- Climbed to the top via 'Tio Pepe' (6b, 7 pitches, 200m) route. Had to resort to some aid climbing and variating the route because of being too cold and because the sun was setting.
-

- Climbed to the summit using "La Face" via ferrata.
-
