I don't even know how many times I've been in Ukraine's capital so it almost felt like coming back home. Everything was just like I remembered it and the weather was great most of the time. Most of the time we were just resting or walking along the relaxing and relatively quiet streets of Kiev.
But Kiev is a big city and there's always something new to see. Inna showed me a newly built district with colorful houses next to a nice green hill. On another day we visited a big steel statue near the river Dnipro which turned out to be a World War II memorial. Not further than five hundred meters from the statue there is a war museum and I got to see the beloved BMP-2 assault tank, which we used in the army. There is also a pond next to the huge statue and where there's a pond, there are ducks. The ducks had a slope from the pond to the shore and they used it to slide to the water. Maybe I'll upload a video of it later. It sure looked funny!
On the final day we walked around some fancy disctrict with a lot of embassies and visited a candy shop. Unfortunately most of the Ukrainian candies are with chocolate but luckily we found something without chocolate too. I especially liked "Crazy Bee" candies with fruity taste and some liquid inside. Got to buy those in the future too!
