Easter in Ukraine - More music!
Kiev seemed to offer all kinds of music during the Easter. Next to the main street we saw an orchestra playing classical music. Classical music isn't really my thing so unfortunately I can't tell you the songs they were playing. From the main street we continued towards one of the universities in Kiev and walked through some nice, green parks. It was great to see how the trees and plants were getting greener and greener every day during our holiday.
Ukraine will co-host the UEFA Euro 2012 football competition together with Poland, and we happened to see the skeleton of what is supposed to become one of the stadiums for the event. It wasn't quite ready yet, but they still have a year to finish it :).
Just as the sun was setting we started climbing once again to the familiar hill park. We wanted to see some roller skaters again, but we ran into another concert instead! This one was for children, and apparently a lot more interesting than the classical one as the Batman himself was attending and dancing along! The same group of roller skaters was practicing their tricks there too.
But that's not all the music we experienced during the day! A big stage had been set up on the main street, and we were lucky enough to see a few Eurovision artists performing. The highlight of the day for Inna was to see Blue live. I had never heard of the band before, but it's apparently a fairly popular group from the UK :).
