Tara canyon

Climbing all the way to the ice cave the previous day left us, and especially my knees, pretty knackered, so the following day was reserved for a relaxing walk up a road that led to a nice viewpoint over the deepest canyon in Europe. The owner of our first camping site told us about the place, and without her advice we would have never found the place. The road is just like any other, there were absolutely no signs about the canyon viewpoint and before reaching the place you can't even have a glimpse of the canyon - it just feels like you're walking in the middle of the deepest woods.

Views towards the Durmitor range on the way to the canyon

The total lack of tourists added to the feel of remoteness of the place and we were really glad to find the viewpoint totally silent and clean. Perhaps and probably tourists visit the place, but not at that time! We enjoyed the view for quite some time before heading back towards Ẑabljak. It had been a reasonably long walk from the town to the viewpoint so we decided to try to hitch hike back because we knew that we wouldn't be seeing anything new along the way. The plan worked like a charm and not long after leaving the beautiful scenery we found ourselves back in town.

The viewpoint

A flower of some kind. Can someone give a hint on what it is :)?

Time to give that knee some rest!

And another beautiful flower that we saw in quite a few places in Durmitor.

Squirrels in Durmitor are a lot darker in color than the ones in Finland.
