Harri and Henkka flew back to Finland early the next day and Turo felt too tired to stay in Ljubljana too so I ended up exploring the city alone as my flight back was only in the evening. I didn't hurry much as I had visited the city already before and took my time taking photos and enjoying the atmosphere and sheer beauty of the city.

Slovenian bureks are so tasty. A breakfast of champions!

I didn't exactly find anything very new in Ljubljana but it made me think about moving away from Bucharest once again. Big concrete communist-era buildings and a gazillion cars just don't do it for me.

One thing worth mentioning in Ljubljana are the 'Little Free Libraries' that one can see on the castle hill. These are small covered boxes (picture below) where people can leave books they want to give away and they are free for anyone to take. I didn't have any books with me but I took Stephen King's Firestarter with me. Perhaps one day I'll be able to return the favor!

The architecture in Ljubljana is a bit more interesting as well :)

The trip was a huge success once again and we have already discussed making a new trip next year. Thanks to Harri, Henkka and Turo for great company and see you next year!
