Relaxing in the tropics
First things first. Right after waking up we had to return our beloved moped and get the laundry. Everything was good with the scooter and I got my passport back without any problems. Things weren't as easy with the laundry though. The woman at the laundry service would have given us a bag full of some random clothes, of which some were ours and some weren't. We explained the woman how things were and eventually we had all of our clothes with us, and nothing extra. The price was ok at least, 40 bahts per kilogram.
On the way back we visited a small street restaurant and ate a very spicy papaya salad with grilled chicken and pork. Despite the rainy season the day was really beautiful and sunny once again so we decided to try snorkeling again, this time on the beach right in front of our bungalow. The beach there was too shallow for hundreds of meters but we didn't give up. On the way I talked to a British kite instructor, who told that a kite surfing course would cost roughly 125 euros and last from three to four days. I'm sure it would have been a blast but I didn't feel like leaving Inna alone for all that time as I had plans to attend a scuba diving course too.
Finally after walking for quite some time in the almost hot water we were able to start snorkeling. At first we only saw sand and more sand, but soon the view got better as we closed in on the rocky headland. The waves were quite high but they didn't feel so threatening as we weren't too close to the shore. We saw big hiding sea urchins and beautiful colorful sea anemones. After snorkeling Inna wanted to relax and sunbathe in the warm water but I hid under a tree on beach because I knew I'd burn my skin sooner than later.
In the evening we made some plans for the next day and bought some evening snack. This time it was guava's time to join our list of exotic fruits and we also witnessed what was titled "The Best Pancake Show In Asia". I took one with strawberry, honey and banana and Inna took one with chocolate, pineapple and coconut. The show was great and the pancakes tasty, but unfortunately too small! Tickets to the next island of Ko Phangan cost 250 B per person including a taxi to the harbour. This also meant an early wake up so it was time to sleep!
