I had a few extra free days on Easter, and of course I didn't want to waste them in Finland, so I quickly booked the cheapest flight I could find and flew to Kiev! Already at the Helsinki-Vantaa airport I realized how much I had missed travelling. I started working full time about two months ago and although the job is pretty good, I can't deny the fact that I want to travel a lot more than I can at the moment.
The Helsinki-Vantaa airport was under heavy construction, and it felt like I had to walk a lot more than usually to get to the gates. The wait wasn't as boring as usually because this time I took my netbook with me. That combined with the free wifi at Helsinki-Vantaa kept me busy for a while :). The flight itself took only two hours, and it was still sunny in Kiev when we landed.
From the very beginning it was clear that this was not going to be like our typical holidays. This time we made sure that we had enough time for relaxing and that we could enjoy everything without having to rush anywhere. The plan worked perfectly right from the start as we spent the first evening almost without any walking!
